Mad Blanks 1.8.0 is now available and is ready to run on either your Joomla! 1.5 or your Joomla! 2.5 website. Mad Blanks allows you to implement quizzes, surveys, assessments, calculators, and other forms that require special calculation or tabulation for your Joomla website. Mad Blanks 1.8.0 is available for download at www.madblanks.com Anyone who has already purchased access to Mad Blanks version 1.5.0 can get access to Mad Blanks 1.8.x for up to a year (365 days) after your original transaction date. If you had access to the Mad Blanks files via the forum here at madblanks.org, you had a website account automatically created for you at madblanks.com; if your account at madblanks.com does not already allow you to download Mad Blanks 1.8.x, contact Chris via email or the contact form to have him enable access. If you received the Mad Blanks 1.5.0 files by email, first set up an account at madblanks.com and then contact Chris via email or the contact form and tell him your account username to enable download access. Mad Blanks 1.4.2 is for Joomla! 1.5 only (it will not install on Joomla 2.5), is still officially supported until the Joomla 1.5 end of life in mid-April 2012, and is still available for download at no cost. |

Upgrade instructions are included in this article. I am proud to announce the release of Mad Blanks version 1.4.2 for Joomla! 1.5, which is available for immediate download (click here to download). This signature feature of this release is a refinement in Mad Blanks category editing usability. It also adds useful new Score Script tags and fixes a few minor bugs. Please note that Mad Blanks does not yet support Joomla! 1.6.x. If you encounter any bugs/issues, no matter how small, please report them in the bug reports section of the forum (or by using the contact form if you prefer). The devil is in the details, and I rely on you, with your varied Joomla! installations, to find problems (no matter how minor) that I can't with my server setup or that I overlook. Please note that after upgrading from an older release of Mad Blanks, it will be necessary to edit and re-save any menu items you have that link to Mad Blanks. Please go ahead and share your comments and your suggestions for improvements and ask any questions you may have on the forum. The following features have been added in Mad Blanks 1.4.2: |

Use Mad Blanks to set up a quiz or survey on your Joomla site and respond to the user any number of ways with a Score Script.
Mad Blanks Quiz
This is an example quiz for you to try that was created with the Mad Blanks component and its "Create Single Record" module. Please fill in the answer(s) to each question and Mad Blanks will score your submission when you are done.
Display Module
This is the Mad Blanks Display module. It is configured to display three random records stored on the site. These are only examples. As a Joomla! website author, you can create any Mad Lib or other category you would like to!
