Hi, Chris! You're doing incredible job with this component.

I made a poll, and I offer to unregistered visitor to answer a few personal questions, and after he gets a gift from me.
Questions like this:
1. Please, write your name
2. What city do you live in?
3. What is your occupation now?
4. Do you have a hobby?
5...
6...
10. Please, provide your email, and the link to the download page will be sent to you.

When visitor answers these question, script sends him a link to a download page, where he downloads a gift from me.

Also I'm using AcyMailing script, which adds this visitor to the send list, and after some days script sends him a few more links to a another download pages where visitor may get enother gifts.

My question is:
How can I track that specific user  visited download pages and recieved a gift? (Remember, that visitor is unregistered on the site).

1 option. Can it be made by adding the specific code to the end of the URL, which script is sending to the  user? Something like this: www.mysite.com/downloadpage?SboWllsdf (If Madblanks cannot produce such code, can you recommend some module or plugin that can do that?)

2 option. Can I combine the poll with simple registration? For example, I can add  to the poll 2 additional fields:
11. "Please write your username" (but I guess the username should be checked for uniqueness - I don't know, how I can do that).
12. "Please write the password" (another option - to use a system generated password and send it to the user in email, but still he should be able to change it). BTW, I found the modul, called "One click registration" http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/communities-a-groupware/user-management/13772, which is similar to what I need - it needs only Name and Email. But I want to include such registration to the poll.

So, Chris, my goal - to make the whole process for a visitor as simple as possible (to have as many polls answered as possible) - 1. he just answers the poll and  2. he recieves the gifts from me.  3. I track receiving the gifts.   Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you for getting back to me.  It sounds like a form validation and RegEx script to count that they are not over 250 words would work perfect for me.  I have a Grant Request form, and one field should be limited so the staff requesting the grant do not submit a 'book' to the coordinator.

I have been trying to get the RegEx configured correctly with no luck.  It either will not accept anything, or won't stop it if it is over 250 words.

Expressions I have tried include:

/^.\w+{*,250\w+}$/

/^.\w+[1\w+,251\w+]$/

/^.\w+[1,251]$/

/^.\w+{1,251}$/

/^a{1\w+,250\w+}$/

/^.a{1\w+,250\w+}$/

/^.{1\w+,251\w+}$/

/^.\w+{1\w+,251\w+}$/

Any mostly everything along those lines that I can think of.

Thanks.

While editing the Mad Blanks category, please confirm that the radio buttons next to the text Field activated? are set to Yes where appropriate. If these are set to Yes and you still have the problem, please post again.

Hi. Another question.

I have a category with 12 questions. When I looked at the records in the list records, only  up to the Data Field 4 are shown.

Is there a setting to change to show all 12 data field?

Thanks,
Tina

There is no setting to allow you to change the number of fields previewed in the back end record list. The idea is to give you some idea of what is in the record, and if you need to see more from a particular record, you can open the particular record to see all the data it contains.

In order to show 12 fields previewed in the list, one would have to change the layout of the list by modifying the relevant PHP code.

Just to be clear, there is no limit to the number of categories in a daisy chain.

How do I set up user login module in Joomla with Madblanks module? I am using the display module and the menu module too.

Joomla's user login module is completely separate from Mad Blanks. In the module manager at Extensions -> Module Manager, click the New button at upper right and then click on the "Login" choice to create a new login module.

There are a few ways to go about this, one of which is to use form validation (click here for more information). Normally form validation is used to specify that the user's input should be something like two letters to make sure it is a state abbreviation or five numbers to make sure it is a zip code before Mad Blanks will accept the form submission, but you could also use it to check that the user has entered a specific answer. The per-field settings for form validation (accessible while editing a Mad Blanks category) include Error message to display to user if field contents are not valid, which could be your explanation.
