Warning: require_once() [function.require-once]: Filename cannot be empty in /home/kspemamm/public_html/components/com_madblanks/madblanks.php on line 56

I'm not sure what this means.  Where do I find line 56 and what am I supposed to type in it to fix this.

Thanks!

Apparently for some reason your installation of Joomla! is not finding the madblanks.class.php file where it is expecting to find it.

First check that the file <Joomla_root>/administrator/components/com_madblanks/madblanks.class.php exists. If it does not, try uninstalling and reinstalling the component and check again. If it still does not, you may have to manually copy files to that directory.

If the file above does exist, edit the file <Joomla_root>/components/com_madblanks/madblanks.php and try replacing line 56 with this:

Code:
require_once (JApplicationHelper :: getPath('class', 'com_madblanks'));

Let me know how you do.

I think I understand what you want me to try, I'm new to all this, so how do you get to where you can edit a file?

I think that the file exists because when I go to edit configuration variables in the Mad Blanks Components menu I see near the top where it says that
"These configuration variables are saved in the following file, which can be edited directly if necessary:
<Joomla! root directory>/administrator/components/com_madblanks/madblanksconfig.php"

If I knew how to get into where to edit it, then I'll try what you recommend.

Thanks for your help.

You'll have to use your FTP client to download the file from your web host onto your local computer. Then edit it the file on your computer using a text editor. Textpad is a good one for Windows. (Enable line numbers under the View menu of Textpad so you know where to edit.)

Then when you're done, use FTP to put the updated file back where it came from.
